In the mysterious and surreal middle ground between Tehran and Winnipeg, the lives of several characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Negin and Nazgol, elementary school students, find a sum of money frozen in the winter ice and try to recover it. Meanwhile, Massoud leads a group of increasingly disoriented tourists to Winnipeg's monuments and historical sites. Matthew leaves his dead-end job in a Quebec government office and sets off on a mysterious journey to visit his mother.
