Scenario

Cancellation of Star Wars The Acolyte CHAOS!

(2024). Not LOTR, not in a million years. This film does not have the Tolkien feel, it does not have an epic tone, the plot is very random and contrived.

The Rohirrim War is an overblown story, overextended to fill a whole movie

In the anime The Lord of the Rings there is a lot of anime (inappropriate for this kind of story in my opinion) and very little The Lord of the Rings. After Ralph Bakshi's version from the 70s, which wasn't very good but was respectful of the Books, you can't pretend to look at this style of animation and not want at least the same quality and realism. Besides, I think this story is something Tolking would describe with a simple mention without too much detail.
