Now to set the stage for my review, I'm not a fan of Saturday Night Live, but I also hate the show. I saw clips of this show on YouTube, there were stars from this show who went on to bigger things in their careers and I only watched one episode and that episode was hosted by Sydney Sweeney. Other than that, it's a show that never held my attention and I'm not really a fan of sketch comedy. However, when I heard that Jason Reitman was directing a movie based on the events that happened before the show debuted, I naturally decided to give it a shot and got hooked on Saturday Night (2024).

Positives for Saturday Night (2024): This movie was a chaotic roller coaster from start to finish

This movie has such a wild pace that demands you pay attention and for the most part it worked. The actors do a fantastic job of portraying these people from the 70's and while it was a little distracting trying to see some of them portraying certain people from the show, they all do a great job. The comedy in this movie is very funny and some of the skits they did give me a few laughs. And finally, the movie does a fantastic job of making this scene look and feel chaotic.

Negatives of Saturday Night (2024): The movie is a bit too messy for me

There are certain conflicts that seem like they were rushed to the resolution without giving it a proper kick. And finally, the movie is so fast paced that I couldn’t keep up with it at times.
