As for the movie as a whole, it is better than the original

It is still unclear what the origin of this entity is, what its history or background is, which leads to unanswered questions. The ending leaves more questions unanswered and if there is a disease, there must be a cure. If you watch the movie, you will understand what I mean about the ending which for me was not at all satisfying.

Naomi Scott does a remarkable job in her role

She could not have been better chosen for this role. It is visceral just watching the movie with her. This is a different kind of horror, slow and progressive, until scenes that unsettle you, surprise you rather than shock you.

It is much better than expected, quite disturbing and disturbed
