Clown Moments feels like a second film than the one it was intended to be

The plot moves slowly as everyone eventually finds potential mates, but not until the requisite amount of clichéd character comedy has been played out widely enough. Despite this, screen veteran Tatsuya Fujii plays Tatsuo with grumpy enthusiasm, while Kumiko Aso provides thoughtful support as Haru.

For a film with a similar sensibility to the art behind unique Japanese food, I suggest watching Naomi Kawase's 2015 An (Sweet Bean)
