Scenario
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation into a nursing home
Michael Schur was inspired to create "A Man On the Inside" after watching the Chilean documentary "The Mole Agent." He says: The documentary "The Mole Agent" is powerful because it makes people feel something remarkably similar regardless of age, ethnicity or gender, and I would describe that feeling very reductively as "I have to call my mother." In our show, we tried to do a similar thing with the tone: basically, our show contributes to that feeling of making us want to call our mothers?.
I loved it!
Remake of Elagente Topo (2020).
What I expected was a comedy full of cliches about someone who goes undercover, his crazy antics and so on
Instead we got a series about a man who not only helped others, but also helped himself heal from the loss of his wife.
This great series wasn't full of corny laughs and cheesy jokes, I found myself really emotional during parts of it because of the way the topics were handled, like the resident having memory issues
However it wasn't all serious that made you feel down or bored getting through the episodes, it kept the series worth watching because you wanted to see how it unfolded: who stole it, etc.
The casting and acting were great, the cinematography and locations were well done
I really hope they do another season and bring a great mix of laughs, emotions, writing, locations and cast like they did in Charles's next detective adventures and this one.
