This film would follow a young boy who is separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the Island of Sodor, where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and sets out on an adventure to find his father. This would be the second feature-length film in the franchise (following "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" in 2000) and was scheduled to be released in 2010. Due to various production issues, the film was repeatedly delayed until it was finally canceled in 2015, when HIT Entertainment went bankrupt and sold its ownership to Mattel.
